Vintage 6 1/2" h ~ Indian Woman Head ~ Unique Paper Mache? Pin Cushion ~ Mexico

This is a vintage 6 1/2" high ~ Indian woman head ~ unique pin cushion ~ I believe it may be paper mache, but I'm not sure, It is all intact, but does have some wear , such as crazing, fading etc. due to age, use and storage.
