X-48MKII is a 48-track standalone workstation that combines the advantages of two systems: the stability and simplicity of a stand-alone hard disk recorder and the graphical user interface, editing functions and plug-in compatibility of a computer-based digital audio workstation.
The X-48MKII can process 48 tracks at 96 kHz and 24 bits. But it offers much more than just a recorder: its built-in, automated 48-channel digital mixer, VGA monitor connection, powerful editing functions and a DVD + RW drive for data backup make the X-48MKII a fully equipped, integrated audio workstation. Its compatibility with a wide variety of file formats, import and export of Broadcast Wave and OMF for collaboration with workstations such as Pro Tools®, and its synchronization capability surpass even the award-winning MX-2424.
The support of eSATA hard drives and the integrated Gigabit Ethernet offer the best conditions for easy data exchange between different systems and make the X-48MKII the ideal solution for multi-track recording in music productions, film dubbing and post-production and live recordings.
