    Description

    WWI US Model 1917
    Rifle Bayonet. No clean out hole for the catch which is rare.  Bayonet measures 21.5" overall with a blade length of 17".  Blade is very nice, with light wear, use, light scratches. Wood grips are good with markings, wear, tiny small crack on left side by front rivet.  Excellent working press-stud. Ricasso blade shows the 1913 with Remington Logo on one side with June 1917 date, other side marked with with British markings/cartouches, crossed out and U.S. stamped next to it.  After the U.S. entered WWI, production of these bayonets were diverted to the U.S. and any British marks were overstamped with U.S. Marks.  Bayonet is tight with no looseness. Nice looking scabbard, green.    See photos for further details, clarification, and condition. A great example of these fine pieces.
