The alarm is not overly loud, yet
it is still loud enough to be heard
above most ambient noise in an
adjacent room through an open
doorway.
As with all alarms that have
self-contained electronics, proper
polarity must be observed when
connecting to a voltage source.
The positive DC Supply voltage
line connects to the side with the
"+" symbol on the top of the alarm.
Connecting with the polarity
reversed will damage the alarm.
Note:
Since this is just an alarm, it does not
include a triggering mechanism,  power
supply, or have provisions for an internal
battery.
Because this alarm cycles ON and OFF
Repeatedly, Battery Life (if run from a
battery) is Longer than with Constant
Sounding Alarms. A Pulsing Alarm is
also a more distinctive and pleasing
sound, and is more recognizable in a
noisy environment.

Pulse Rate and dbs of sound produced
are both somewhat related to the supply
voltage used. Higher DC voltages will
produce a louder sound. This is governed
by the Laws of Physics and applies to all
alarms made, not just this one.
This alarm is not intended for use as an
extension on home security alarms.
