    Description

as pictured, approx one foot wide, just picked this up without knowing about the side markings, don't know quite what to say about it, appears to be from the tumultuous early 1920s from the Juniata
River region of the Pennsylvania, Lockport named for locks on the short-lived Allegheny Portage canal system. The tin and lid are in good shape, the stickers or glue-ons on top, two on the side with picture of workingman and "No Scabs Allowed" reference show age and have a little chipping around edged. The top is a giant picture of the local union's dues pin from 1923
I won't be disappointed if no one bids on this, my wife wants me to thin out the collection, but this lidded can would also be a nice place for me to store more union collectibles! But 3-D items like this don't come along so often in case someone else is interested
