We Powered it on, it made some noise and the lights came on. No further testing was done.
Being used, it can last 10 years or 10 seconds, there is no real way of knowing. Because of that, it is being sold AS-IS, WHERE IS.
When new, this was a top of the line kind of VCR, made to be durable and work flawlessly, if I were to guess I would say that you have a better than 75% chance that it will work as it should. But again, only a guess, the item came from an aerospace OEM, and was sent to excess sales because it was no longer needed. There are no damage or fault tags attached to the piece. If you know anything about the aerospace world they label things that are bad without giving it a second thought. It's just what they do.
